IDEX-Powered Biometric Card by BCC Earns Global Trust from Mastercard & Visa

Beautiful Card Corporation (BCC), in collaboration with biometric technology leader IDEX Biometrics, has launched a next-generation biometric payment card based on the IDEX Pay platform for global banking clients. This innovative card has successfully obtained certifications from both Mastercard and Visa, granting it global issuance rights and validating its compliance with international standards of security and performance.

Mastercard previously issued a Letter of Approval authorizing BCC to deploy biometric smart cards powered by IDEX Pay for worldwide distribution. Shortly after, Visa confirmed on April 2, 2025, that BCC’s product had passed a series of stringent technical evaluations, including chip-level security, biometric authentication capabilities, and contactless payment specifications, granting the product global approval.

“This dual recognition from Mastercard and Visa is a testament to the strong partnership between BCC and IDEX Biometrics. RE10X10台灣再生能源倡議計畫

Since the Electricity Industry Law was revised in 2017, Taiwan’s green electricity trading market has gradually taken shape. In order to accelerate the pace of carbon reduction by Taiwanese enterprises and demonstrate their determination to fight the climate crisis, Greenpeace launched the “RE10x10” initiative. Drawing on the spirit of the RE100 initiative, it hopes to gather Taiwan’s small and medium-sized electricity users to jointly commit to using more than 10% green electricity in 2025. Take concrete actions to support green electricity and fight climate change! 🌳 ⚡

RE100 is a global renewable energy initiative led by The Climate Group and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). Joining companies must publicly commit to using 100% green electricity between 2020 and 2050. As Google, Apple, Facebook, HP, Dell, Nike and other international companies have joined RE100, there has been an international wave of green electricity use by companies. BCC Brings Biometric Payment Card to Market

TAIPEI, TAIWAN and OSLO, NORWAY – 4 July 2023 – Beautiful Card Corporation (BCC), a prominent Taiwanese card manufacturer with global deliveries, has been granted approval from Mastercard to deploy biometric payment cards using Zwipe Pay.

Speaking on this development, Shellen Hsu, Global VP – Sales & Business Development, BCC, says, “We are extremely delighted to obtain approval that enables the deployment of our biometric cards globally. With the growing awareness of biometric payments in the APAC region and beyond, this is crucial as we are witnessing a strong interest in our core markets to launch biometric payment cards based on the Zwipe Pay platform.”

Issuers and consumers will have access to biometric payment cards built on Zwipe Pay technology operating seamlessly across Mastercard’s global network, addressing consumers’ demand for increased security and convenience through biometric authentication.
